Just north of Bulverde, Spring Branch is named after a spring creek that flows into the Guadalupe River. It’s located in the Texas Hills Country with rolling hills and lush greenery. You’ll have quick access to Guadalupe River State Park, which has 13 miles of hiking trails and 5 miles of equestrian trails, and Canyon Lake, which features 80 miles of scenic coastline. Downtown Bulverde is less than 10 minutes away, and San Antonio is a 20-minute drive.
You’ll find custom houses on generous acreage in the Lake of the Hills Estates, Whispering Hills, Lantana Ridge, and Cypress Springs. You’ll discover subdivision-style homes in master-planned communities in Spring Branch and Singing Hills. These new homes feature modern fixtures, deluxe master suites, chef’s kitchens, and multi-car garages. If you go further east and closer to Canyon Lake, you’ll find spectacular homes with sweeping water views in the Cascada and Mystic Shores neighborhoods.

Spring Branch is all about the Texas Hill Country living. It’s a very small, rural, and exclusive community. Because it’s surrounded by parks and water, residents definitely love to take advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings, and the area has an outdoorsy, laid-back vibe.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

There are some restaurants and cafes on the main highway in Spring Branch. Or you can head to Downtown Bulverde or Canyon Lake for more options. Beefy’s on the Green serves American fare and has a full bar. Sandra’s Cantina and Grill is a casual eatery serving Mexican food. For something more upscale, Limestone Mexican Grill and Seafood serves traditional dishes. The Branch Neighborhood Grill is known for their sandwiches and po’boys. Richter’s Antler Café has quaint lodge-style décor and serves hearty Texan dishes.
Bella Sera Bulverde is an Italian restaurant that’s highly rated for its food and service. Screaming Goat Yard and Tap has an eclectic menu of Bavarian plates, empanadas, and sausage gumbo. They also host live music and karaoke nights. Smoky Mo’s BBQ serves their smoked meats counter style. For Asian food, Thai-Lao Orchid is a small Laotian restaurant, and Pier Hibachi has a simple grill menu. For late-night drinks, Bourbon and Branch have crafted cocktails and live music.
You’ll find shops at the Singing Hills Shopping Center and The Shops at Faithville Park. Farmhouse Market is a local favorite for home goods, decorations, clothing, and accessories. For groceries, there’s an HEB Plus in Bulverde with an in-store bakery and flower shop.

Things to Do

Local residents often head to Canyon Lake, where hiking, swimming, and boating. The Lakeside Golf Club has a golf course, tennis courts, a pool, and an on-site restaurant. Guadalupe River State Park has hiking trails and picnic areas and is perfect for tubing and kayaking. A local mainstay, Tejas Rodeo Company hosts sold-out rodeo shows and live music concerts. Their steakhouse and saloon are open year-round and are a popular spot for weekend brunch. If you want to take in a more low-key performance, Stage Theatre has musicals and plays and offers youth classes. The Texas Hill Country is also home to over 100 wineries. The wineries at Fredericksburg are less than one hour away. US-290 is nicknamed Wine Road 290.
